Jim Robbins and Matt Valley began working together on KBEAR 104.1 in April of 1999. Jim and Matt quickly found their stride on air and have consistantly been one of the top rated morning shows in Anchorage.

The legendary Jim Robbins is Alaska’s most recognized and listened to Country Morning Man with more than 30-plus years of experience on Country radio in Anchorage. Jim’s long-time support and commitment to the military makes KBEAR unique. Jim share’s his talents to support many events in the community for the Military, like “Operation Santa Claus” with the Alaska National Guard.
Matt Valley’s has over 20 years of broadcasting experience and his lighthearted, family-friendly humor helps Alaska Wake Up with a smile. Matt first moved to Alaska with his parents in 1975 and lived in the shadow of the Santa Claus House in North Pole before moving to Anchorage in 1980. Matt started his Radio career here in Anchorage in 1987 and spend a year in Orlando, Florida at an "Oldies" station, before taking over the reins of KBEAR, as Program Director in October of 1995.
Trill Gates joined KBEAR’s Morning Show in early 2006 and brings a balanced female perspective to the show as well as adding entertaining commentary about showbiz, her family and life in Alaska. Trill has been in broadcasting for years, mainly in front of the camera as the well known host of the Fox 4 Kids Club “Kiddie Fox” - Trill continues to be a TV Spokesperson for different business’ in Anchorage and keeps Jim and Matt on thier toes in the morning.
