What She Wants
My daughter Miranda will graduate from Service High School on May 15th. Last October she turned 18 and she came up with the motto, “I’m 18, I do what I want!”
I think it’s kind of cute because I know she doesn’t really mean what she’s saying.
The other day I looked at Miranda and said, “Can you believe that next month you’ll be walking across the stage at the Sullivan Arena getting your diploma?” She stopped typing her friend on My Space and slowly looked at me and said, “I don’t want to talk about it right now.”
I think she is excited about the new chapter that is beginning in her life. I only hope that her mother and I have given her the guidance that she needs, so she can make the best choices so, she can truly do “what she wants.”
