About two months ago, I stepped on a scale and screamed. The scale had to be broken, because the number it was showing me? Well, it was the exact numbers that I saw when I was nine months pregnant with my daughter and last I checked... I wasn't nine months pregnant.
I decided I didn't like what was happening to my body and my attitude. I'm short so any extra pounds is quickly noticed, especially since I seem to carry weight in my midsection. It was time to get proactive and get serious.
I called Body Renew, a fitness studio located on Old Seward Highway. I asked about a personal trainer, because it had been so long since I saw the inside of a gym, I wanted to have a great jumpstart.
My personal trainer's name is Meesa. She's the same height as me, but the girl doesn't have one ounce of fat. Instead of hating her, I decided to make it a goal to be that fit.
