Kodiak, Alaska

I've now been to a bush town in AK...Kodiak! Me and hubby went for the long labor day weekend and had so much fun! If you've never been...it's very similar to Anchorage, yet different in the fact that there's lots of hills and valleys on the main road...that part reminds me of the West Virginia hills. Plus, since it's an island, there's a beach. It was pouring rain the day we made it to the beach, but that didn't stop us. We headed out with our rain gear and looked for sea shells. Along the way we came across bunches of kelp. Oh...there's also some big cliffs, too...whoa! I don't do heights...so I peeked over and then headed back to the trail. We also found some cool gift shops and of course, had dinner at the original Henry's Great AK Restaurant. I'll be adding some pictures from there very soon.
