KBEAR County Idol ROCKS~ Country-Style

I guess it's about time I start blogging. . .and keep up with the rest of you! I tend to be electronically challenged and this blogging thing is so not me.

 But, I really wanted to take a couple minutes and tell you how awesome this year's KBEAR Country Idol Contest has been so far. (There's still time if you haven't come to KBEAR Country Idol. You have to swing by & say "Howdy!") The next KBEAR Country Idol Round is THIS THURSDAY, August 16th, 7pm, @ Players House of Rock. Be there! Matt Valley is hosting and he's so good. (I think he can even sing, too!)One of our contestents will ultimately open for Craig Morgan at the Alaska State Fair!

I continue to by amazed by the talented country singers we have in our own backyard. Let's see. . . our winnners from the previous Idol rounds include: JR Aquino (what a voice this guy has. .your heart could actually melt when he sings a Keith Urban slow song!), Bridget Sullivan (she was last contestant to perform @ the round she won. . .the audience was in awe of her beautiful voice!), Ansley Gwinn (this gal can sing too and really hits the high notes w/confidence), Sherron Kyle Patrick (wow! He rocked the house w/his version of Jason Aldean's Hicktown),Rob White (ahhh. . his voice is so classic country. He'd make George Stait & Hank Jr. proud, I'm sure.), Audrey Dunn (she's so talented.. I'm not sure who was more excited by her win, Audrey, or her very proud hubby!)

So, who will be the next finalist? We'll find out THIS Thursday! Can't wait to see you there. Make sure to say "Hi" to all the KBEAR jocks. We love to see you out and about. Rumor has it our very own Jim Robbins might swing by too!

Congrats to all our finalists & contestants! I'm really enjoying your talent. Truth be told, I always dreamed of being a country singer. I used to belt out Delta Dawn like you wouldn't believe. (Of course, probably ALL of our finalists have never heard of that song. . Delta Dawn had come and gone before most of them were born!) Some of you reading this, may just remember it, though. I'm glad YOU'RE chasing your dreams!
